The local plan
Start with the property.
Wind, dust, broad temperature swings, utility coordination, and long material or crew movements can affect work around Lake Point. Mafi develops the logistics and restoration plan alongside the core scope.
The site is in Tooele County. Confirm the municipality or county authority, utility provider, and any right-of-way involvement before setting the work sequence.
What we can build.
Utility trenches, stormwater improvements, building pads, aggregate bases, access roads, selective demolition, and mass or fine grading can be coordinated with utility connection work, backfill, compaction, concrete, and paving. The plan should identify existing services and where water will go during construction as well as after completion.
- Clearing and demolition
- Mass and fine grading
- Utility trenching
- Stormwater and drainage
- Aggregate bases and access roads
- Backfill, compaction, and restoration
Choose the right scope.
Confirm the survey information, utility locates, soils information, excavation limits, spoil handling, groundwater conditions where relevant, and access for equipment. Identify work in public rights-of-way and whether erosion or stormwater controls are required. Unknown underground conditions need an agreed verification and change process.
Plan the work in order.
Establish controls and protection, verify utilities, stage excavation and temporary access, install the below-grade work, then inspect before backfill. Compact in the required lifts and document testing where specified. Finish grades, drainage, and restoration only after the underlying scope is accepted.
- Survey conditions and conflicts
- Sequence earthwork and utilities
- Compact, grade, and restore
Verify the finished work.
Verify finished elevations, positive drainage, restored surfaces, compaction and inspection records, removed temporary controls where allowed, and recorded utility changes. The completed site should support the building and surface work that follows.
